History of West Michigan Veteran's Ranch

West Michigan Veteran's Ranch was established as a 501C3 non-profit in 2016 by Dean DeCanter, Rebecca DeCanter, Johnathan Tribley, Dan Klaasse and Ian Harris. It was founded to serve as a resource for veterans in need when other programs failed to provide the assistance they required. Since then, the DeCanter family donated 41 acres of rural land located in White Cloud Michigan to serve as a retreat or get away for Veterans to escape from every day life. The ranch has grown to be able to provide more than just direction and assistance when it comes to government funded programs, now we're able to provide emergency financial funding in dire situations.

Planning for the future the ranch is building towards having established facilities on the property to incorporate events, fund raisers. All of our projects are 100% funded through donations and none of our board members or volunteers receive any compensation for their time.

Our aim at WMVR is to make a difference in the veteran community, build bonds with other veteran aid non-profits, and hopefully one day eliminate veteran homelessness, and while it may seem like an impossible task, turn 22 a day into a thing of the past.
